IRIS VESSEY is Professor of Information Systems at Indiana University¡¯s Kelley School
of Business, Bloomington. She received her M.S., MBA, and Ph.D. in MIS from the
University of Queensland, Australia. Her research into evaluating emerging information
technologies from both cognitive and analytical perspectives has been published
in journals such as Communications of the ACM, Information Systems Research, Journal
of Management Information Systems, and MIS Quarterly. In recent years, her
interests have focused on managerial issues associated with the management and
implementation of enterprise systems. She currently serves as Secretary of the Association
for Information Systems and of the International Conference on Information
Systems and is an AIS Fellow.
